Resolved — Following engineer attendance last night a fibre microbend was identified and corrected. As a result we have had confirmation that this issue is now resolved and that services are no longer at risk. We apologies for any inconvenience this caused you and your customers.
Monitoring — The supplier has carried out further optimisation to the network and are now seeing services restoring for the affected customers. They have advised that as the there is still an open incident on the Leeds to Sheffield link, services should be considered at risk until the link has been brought back into service. They will continue to update this incident until that risk has been fully mitigated. They have asked that for any customers still experiencing an issue they power-cycle their equipment before raising a support case via the normal channels.
Identified — The carrier has updated us to advise this is impacting some of their off-net ethernet customers in addition to on-net (Cityfibre tail) Regarding the assessment of the initial re-routing they are still seeing a portion of customers impacted by the major incident. They are carrying out further work in order to optimise network traffic and alleviate the issues being experienced. Resolution and further updates on the failure of the link between Leeds and Sheffield will follow. Thank you for your patience
